Abstract:
A cooling apparatus (1) has: a cooler (3), a circulation device (4), a semiconductor temperature detection unit (51), a refrigerant temperature detection unit (52), an output acquisition unit (61), and a flow speed control unit (62). The output range of a power converter (2) is divided into a first output range not exceeding a prescribed threshold value and a second output range exceeding the threshold value. The flow speed control unit (62) controls the flow speed of a refrigerant within a range where the refrigerant in a heat reception unit (31) is maintained in a non-boiling state in the first output range, and controls the flow speed of the refrigerant within a range where the refrigerant in the heat reception unit (31) is in either one of the non-boiling state and a nucleate boiling state in the second output range. The flow speed of the refrigerant in the second output range is set equal to or higher than the upper limit value of the speed of the refrigerant in the first output range.
