Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a cooling device and a cooling water circulation method which are designed to curb the increase in costs and procedures required in maintenance and take into consideration the operating status of a cooling water supply destination. A cooling device 10A that supplies modified cooling water comprises: a cooling tower 10; a water tank 17 provided under the cooling tower 10; a makeup water pouring pipe 11 for pouring source water into the water tank 17 as makeup water; a cooling water supply pipe 12 for supplying cooling water from the water tank 17 to a cooling destination; a cooling water collecting pipe 13 for collecting the cooling water from the cooling destination to the cooling tower 10; and a first modifying unit 20 that is disposed inside the water tank 17 and modifies the water in the water tank 17 using ceramics.
