Abstract:

Provided is a technology for cooling uniformly a hot steel plate at a high cooling speed when cooling water is supplied to the upper surface of the hot steel sheet. A cooling facility for a hot steel plate installed in a hot rolling line of a steel plate, comprising a header for supplying cooling water to the upper surface of a hot steel sheet, cooling water jet nozzles suspended from the header to jet rodlike cooling water, and a partition installed between the hot steel sheet and the header, and is characterized in that a large number of water supply ports into which the lower ends of the cooling water jet nozzles are inserted, and drain outlets for discharging the cooling water, supplied to the upper surface of a hot steel sheet, onto the partition are provided in the partition. A cooling method for a hot steel plate is also provided.
