Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a cooling method and a cooling apparatus for a molded article that is extracted from a press molding apparatus and that uses a synthetic resin as a material, and the purpose of the present invention is to ensure product quality while shortening a molding time period. Molded articles M that are extracted from a mold while being still hot are introduced through an input port 34 onto a plurality of jigs 30 mounted on a turntable 26 in a cooling chamber 24. A dry mist F is sprayed from nozzles 60 of a spray unit in the upper part of the cooling chamber 24 to each molded article M. The dry mist F sprayed from the nozzles 60 to the molded article M is sublimated under the amount of heat held by the molded article M so that heat is taken from the molded article M, the molded article M is cooled without adherence of water droplets thereto, and the cooled molded article M is discharged through an output port 38. The dry mist is sprayed with the cooling chamber 24 sealed, and the molded article M being currently cooled is placed on the jig 30 for preventing deformation due to gravity.
