Abstract:
In order to cool electronic devices efficiently, a cooling system (1) has: an air conditioner (3), which is capable of cooling a prescribed space (2) and with which the air volume or the set temperature can be changed; electronic devices (4a, 4b . . .), which are installed in the prescribed space (2) and are equipped with fans (8) the rotational velocity of which can be changed; temperature sensors (5) that detect the temperature of the electronic devices (4a, 4b . . .); and a control device (6), which references air conditioning information (7a) indicating the relationship between the cooling capacity and the power consumption of the air conditioner (3) and fan information (7b) indicating the relationship between the cooling capacity and the power consumption of the fans (8), and selects whether to increase the air volume or decrease the set temperature of the air conditioner (3) or to increase the rotational velocity of the fans (8) on the basis of the increase in temperature detected by the temperature sensors (5), thus controlling the air volume or set temperature of the air conditioner (3) and the rotational velocity of the fans (8) on the basis of the selection result.
