Abstract:
The present invention provides: a copolymer which comprises an aromatic vinyl monomer unit and a cyano monomer unit, and which has excellent strength, chemical resistance, hue, and translucency when made into a molded article; and a resin for injection molding which comprises said copolymer. Provided is a copolymer comprising an aromatic vinyl monomer unit and a cyano monomer unit, wherein the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of P(UV)/P(RI) is not more than 0.15, where P(UV) is the peak strength detected for UV 254 nm in the half width of the peak of the weight average molecular weight MwRI of the copolymer as found by a differential refractive index detector in gel permeation chromatography, and P(RI) is the peak strength detected by the differential refractive index detector in the half width of the peak of the MwRI.
