Title:
COPOLYMERIZED POLYESTER, COPOLYMERIZED POLYESTER COMPOSITION FOR POWDERY COATING AGENT COMPRISING THE SAME, AND POWDERY COATING AGENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2008/010503
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a copolymerized polyester produced by conducting polycondensation using a polycondensation catalyst comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of aluminum and a compound thereof, wherein a polycarboxylic acid component constituting the copolymerized polyester is composed of 50 mol% or more of terephthalic acid and 0 to 10 mol% of a trifunctional or higher polycarboxylic acid, and a polyhydric alcohol component constituting the copolymerized polyester is composed of 90 to 100 mol% of an alkylene glycol having 20 or less carbon atoms and 0 to 10 mol% of a trifunctional or higher polyhydric alcohol. The copolymerized polyester has excellent transparency, color tone, weather resistance and impact resistance. By using the copolymerized polyester, it becomes possible to produce a powdery coating agent having excellent weather resistance, properties of a coating film, and reactivity with a curing agent during crosslinking process, therefore particularly excellent in gel fraction, workability, water resistance, adhesion properties, and adhesion properties after being subjected to water resistance test.
