Copolymers of vinylacetate, ethylene and peroxy-containing alkylacrylate of a general formula: (FORMULA) where R = -CH3; -C2H5; n-C3H7; n-C4H9; n-C5HII R1 = -0-C(CH3)3 or (FORMULA) x = 24.0 to 89.9 mol.% y = 10.0 to 75.0 mol.% z = 0.1 to 1.0 mol.% can be used as a binding agent for making water- and atmosphere-resistant coatings and compositions for production of low-shrinking polyester moulding materials. The copolymers can be used, as well, as plasticizers for polymethylmethacrylate, polywinyl chloride and for other polymers. The copolymers can be used for synthesis, on their basis, of graft copolymers with high impact strength and resistance to the atmospheric influence.
