Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the field of electrocatalysis. Disclosed are a copper catalyst for preparing ethanol by means of the electroreduction of CO2, and a preparation method therefor and the use thereof. According to the present invention, by controlling vertical graphene growing on a copper surface, controllable adjustments of the longitudinal depth and number of stepped sites on the surface of a catalyst are achieved; and original low-surface-energy Cu(100) and Cu(111) crystal planes on the copper surface can be recombined into high-surface-energy Cu(110), Cu(210) and Cu(310) crystal planes, thus showing the specific atomic arrangement characteristics of high surface energy. The copper catalyst with a surface in a periodic stepped shape has a low C-C coupling potential barrier and a good ethanol reaction path, can realize the preparation of ethanol fuel by means of the electrocatalytic reduction of CO2, and has high selectivity.
