Abstract:
The present invention provides a copper complex having superior durability of luminous intensity compared with those of conventional copper complexes. The present invention provides a copper complex represented by compositional formula (1): (Cu+)(L1)a(L2)b(L3)c(X1)d (wherein L1 represents a molecule which has, as neutral atoms capable of being coordinated with the same Cu+, three or four atoms independently selected from a phosphorous atom and a nitrogen atom contained in a nitrogenated 5-membered ring which may have a substituent, wherein at least two of the neutral atoms capable of being coordinated with the same Cu+ in L1 are phosphorous atoms and at least one atom selected from the group consisting of the phosphorous atoms does not have an sp3 carbon atoms bound thereto; L2 and L3 independently represent a molecule which has an atom or an ion capable of being coordinated with Cu+ and independently selected from a phosphorous atom, a nitrogen atom, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, an arsenic atom, an oxygen anion and a sulfur anion; X1 represents an anion; a represents a number greater than 0.5; and b, c and d independently represent a number of 0 or greater).
