Abstract:
A cord stopper according to the present invention consists of: a socket 12 inside which a fitting portion 16, through which a string body 46 is made to penetrate, is provided; and a plug 14 that presses the string body 46, which has been inserted into the socket 12, against an inner wall surface 34a of the socket 12, thereby holding the string body 46. The socket 12 is a cylindrical body in which the fitting portion 16 is provided by being surrounded by a pair of surface sections 32, which are opposed to each other with a predetermined gap therebetween, and a pair of side surface sections 34, which are located at side edges of the pair of surface sections 32 and which are opposed to each other. One of a pair of opposed openings of the cylindrical body is an insertion port 36 from which the plug 14 is inserted and attached, and from which the string body 46 is made to penetrate. The other opening is a penetration port 38 through which the string body 46 is made to penetrate also through the insertion port 36. On each of the surface sections 32, a sliding groove portion 42 is provided, one end of which communicates with the insertion port 36 and the other end of which is located at a position close to the penetration port 38. Each of the surface sections 32 is provided with a guide recess section 44 on an inner surface thereof, wherein one end of the guide recess section 44 is located at the penetration port 38, the guide recess section 44 extends toward the sliding groove portion 42, and the other end thereof reaches the vicinity of an end of the sliding groove portion 42. A section between the end of the sliding groove portion 42 and the end of the guide recess section 44 serves as a stopper 45.
