Abstract:
Provided are: a core material having excellent light-emitting properties; a light transmission body using the core material; a method for producing the light transmission body; and a lighting apparatus using the light transmission body. This core material is characterized by containing a thiourethane resin which is obtained by reacting an isocyanate group-containing compound with a thiol group-containing compound. This method for producing a light transmission body which includes a core material containing a thiourethane resin, comprises: a step for filling a core material composition, containing an isocyanate group-containing compound and a thiol group-containing compound, into a hollow portion of a clad material; and a step for reaction-curing the core material composition which is filled in the hollow portion.
