Abstract:
Disclosed are a core material and a method for making same. The core material comprises several hexagonal units, wherein each hexagonal unit is internally provided with several separation walls (14), and the separation walls (14) and cell walls of the hexagonal unit can surround cell units of the core material. By providing several separation walls inside the hexagonal unit, the original hexagonal unit can be separated. Compared with hexagonal core materials in the prior art, under conditions where there is the same cell wall width, the size of the cell unit of the core material of the present invention is smaller, and the density of the core material is larger. When a force is applied to the core material and transmitted to the hexagonal unit, not only can each of the cell walls bear the external force, but the separation walls in the interior thereof can also bear the external force, and therefore, under conditions of the same material, the same cell wall width and the same thickness, the core material has a higher strength and stiffness.
