Abstract:
Provided are a core member for a crawler and an elastic crawler that, due to being made lighter in weight through the use of a resin, can achieve both weight reduction and required mechanical characteristics. This core member (10) for a crawler comprises a resin. The core member (10) is provided with a pair of protruding sections (11, 11), a pair of wing sections (12, 12), and ribs (13, 13). Each of the ribs (13) extends in a longitudinal direction. Each of the ribs (13) is connected to one of the projecting sections (11). Furthermore, each of the ribs (13) is provided with a rib thickness tapering section (132) where the thickness (d) in the short direction of the rib (13) decreases gradually toward the longitudinally outward side. This elastic crawler (100) is provided with the core member (10) and an endless belt-shaped elastic member (20).
