Abstract:
The coil assembly of a stator is constituted in such a manner that the effective coil part of other electromagnetic coils is housed within the air-core region of each electromagnetic coil. The external shape of each electromagnetic coil in a cross-section perpendicular to the axis of the rotor is a divided ring shape obtained by dividing a ring into N equal parts, and is formed in such a manner that the angle formed by the two lateral sides of the divided ring shape does not exceed 360°/N. In addition, each of the electromagnetic coils is formed of conductors for coil having a bundle of conductors obtained by bundling a plurality of non-insulated conductors which are not individually insulated, and an insulating coating layer which coats the periphery of the bundle of conductors.
