Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wave mode selection device and an operating method therefor, the device enabling effective diagnosis of corrosion under insulation, which occurs in a pipe protected with an insulation material encompassing an outer wall of the pipe, by selecting a wave mode, in which an energy attenuation amount of an induced ultrasound can be minimized, in consideration of an energy attenuation characteristic in the pipe.
