Abstract:
A coupled transportation means according to the present invention is a lateral coupling of a tilting vehicle, having a tilting function allowing a vehicle body to be laterally tilted during cornering, with a side car which serves as a means for increasing the transport capacity of the tilting vehicle. Unlike traditional side cars, the side car of the present invention is characteristically capable of being independently driven when separated from the tilting vehicle. The side car includes one or more front wheels and one or more rear wheels, not a conventional single wheel. Also, in order to allow steering control ability to be selectively exerted, the side car per se serves as a transportation means capable of balancing steering, or includes a steering mode conversion means so that a user can select, through a simple operation, whether to allow a steering force applied to a steering wheel to be transmitted to the wheels. In addition, a lateral coupling means is based on a parallelogram linkage, and a vibration member is additionally provided on the side car side so that the side car can perform a relative pitching motion with respect to the tilting vehicle, the vibration member being laterally hinge-coupled to the parallelogram linkage.
