Abstract:
A strut suspension device is provided with an extensible strut (111) connected in a relatively immobile manner to the top portion of an in-wheel motor drive device (10), and a swingable lower arm (116) coupled to the lower portion of the in-wheel motor drive device in a manner permitting movement in any direction. The strut suspension device permits vertical movement of the in-wheel motor drive device and permits steering of the in-wheel motor drive device about a steering axis (S) that passes through the coupling point (119) between the lower arm (116) and the in-wheel motor drive device. In addition, the axis (M) of the motor (21) of the in-wheel motor drive device is provided above the height position of the coupling point (119) with the lower arm (116).
