Abstract:
Provided is a coupling structure which is less susceptible to be damaged even after long term use. A coupling structure (10) with which a hollow metal pipe member (1) is coupled to another member (2) comprises: a pipe member (1); a sleeve (6) that fits on the outer periphery of the pipe member (1) on the one end side; and a fixing mechanism that fixes the one end side of the pipe member (1) to the other member (2) via the sleeve (6). The one end side of the pipe member (1) is a large diameter section (1b), the large diameter section (1b) has a uniform outer diameter larger than a main section (1a) of the pipe member (1) and extends in a direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the pipe member (1), and the leading end of the large diameter section (1b) is provided with a flare processed section (1c) having a larger diameter than the large diameter section (1b). The sleeve (6) is, at least on an end (6b) thereof opposite the one end side, in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the large diameter section (1b) of the pipe member (1) such that an elastic force is applied to the outer peripheral surface of the large diameter section (1b) of the pipe member (1).
