Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cover glass with an outer frame, which comprises a flat glass plate that has a first main surface and a second main surface opposite to each other, an outer frame that is provided on the first main surface, and an opening that is formed by the outer frame. With respect to this cover glass with an outer frame, the outer frame is formed of a glass ceramic that is obtained by dispersing a filler component in a glass matrix; the softening point of the glass matrix in the glass ceramic is lower than the glass transition point of the flat glass plate; the flat glass plate and the outer frame are directly bonded to each other; and the shape retention ratio is 85% or more.
