Abstract:
[Problem] A purpose of the present invention is to provide: a crosslinked organic silicon resin that can be dissolved by an oil agent that is liquid at room temperature, the crosslinked organic silicon resin becoming liquid, gummy, or solid at room temperature when the oil agent is volatilized; and a method for producing the crosslinked organic silicon resin. Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic having exceptional applicability and rich feel and excellent feeling on use, the cosmetic forming an emulsified product having a high water content, freshness, and excellent stability over time, and to provide a crosslinked organic silicon resin that is capable of imparting a sunscreen effect and is less likely to form white residue or cause whitening in cosmetics that contain a UV scattering agent. [Solution] Provided are a crosslinked organic silicon resin represented by average compositional formula (1) and a method for producing the same. [In the formula, each R1 independently is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-30 alkyl group, C6-30 aryl group, or C7-30 aralkyl group, each R2 independently is a polyoxyalkylene-containing group, a polyhydric-alcohol-containing hydrocarbon group having two or more hydroxyl groups and/or alkoxy groups, or a group selected from the options of R1, the one or more R2 in each R2 3SiO1/2 unit is a polyoxyalkylene-containing group or a polyhydric-alcohol-containing hydrocarbon group having two or more hydroxyl groups and/or alkoxy groups, each R3 independently is an organopolysiloxane-containing group or a group selected from the options of R1, each R3 3SiO1/2 unit has one or more organopolysiloxane-containing groups, X is a divalent polyoxyalkylene-containing group represented by formula (2) or a divalent group represented by formula (3), optionally some R2, R3, and X may be hydroxyl groups, a1, a2, a3, a4, b, c, and d are numbers that satisfy 0
