Abstract:
The present invention provides a crystal growth device which is capable of suppressing evaporation of a raw material melt. This crystal growth device is provided with a crucible that is capable of containing the raw material melt, while having a generally cylindrical shape. This crystal growth device is provided with a support shaft that is able to be inserted into the crucible from the above of the crucible, while being capable of rotating and vertically moving. A seed crystal is able to be mounted onto the lower end of the support shaft. The crystal growth device is provided with a specific member that is arranged in a direction that intersects with the support shaft. When a crystal is grown, the specific member is positioned below the upper end of the crucible.
