Abstract:
The invention comprises: a crystal oscillation element (10) which has a crystal piece (11), a pair of excitation electrodes (14a, 14b) provided so as to face mutually opposite both principal surfaces (12a, 12b) of the crystal piece (11), and connection electrodes (16a, 16b) electrically connected to the excitation electrodes (14a, 14b); a base member (30) that has the crystal oscillation element (10) mounted on the surface; and a cover member (20) joined to a surface (32a) of the base member (30) with a joining member (40) interposed therebetween, the crystal oscillation element (10) being housed in an interior space (26) on the surface (32a) of the base member (30). A part covering projections (38, 39) in the joining member (40), when seen in the plan view from the normal direction of the surface (12a) of the base member (30) abuts a side wall part (22) of the cover member (20), so as to restrict the movement of the cover member (20).
