Abstract:
The present invention relates to a medium composition for culturing Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, and a method for mass-culturing Faecalibacterium prausnitzii by using same, the composition containing vegetable-peptone, a yeast extract, a phosphate compound, a carbonate compound, cyanocobalamin (B12), L-cysteine, ammonium acetate and maltose. A medium composition and a method for culturing Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, according to the present invention, enable the high cell-density culture and mass production of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii pylogroup II strains. In addition, since animal ingredients are excluded and high cell-density culture is possible even under high concentration of anaerobic nitrogen gas during mass production, a more economical and industrialization-appropriate culture method can be provided.
