Abstract:
Provided is a novel culture method whereby a plurality of samples can be each independently cultured. A method for culturing a microorganism (13) comprises using a sheet type microchamber (3) wherein a plurality of wells (1) are formed independently of each other on a surface (3A). The method for culturing a microorganism (13) comprises: a step for mixing a liquid medium (11), said liquid medium containing agarose having a gelling temperature of 5-20°C inclusive, with the microorganism (13) to give a mixture; a step for enclosing the mixture (15) in the wells (1) with the surface (3A) facing upward; and a step for maintaining the microchamber (3), in which the mixture (15) is enclosed in the wells (1), within a preset temperature range.
