Abstract:

The invention aims at providing a curable composition containing a guanidine as a nonorganotin catalyst which is little discolored and is excellent in the curability of both the surface and the depths and in the rising of strength and which exhibits excellent adhesiveness and can retain curability even after storage. This aim is attained by a curable composition comprising (A) an organic polymer having a silicon-containing group capable of cross- linking through the formation of a siloxane linkage wherein the silicon-containing group is a group represented by the general formula (1): -SiX3 (1) (wherein X is hydroxyl or a hydrolyzable group and the three X’s may be the same or different from each other), (B) a silanol condensation catalyst consisting of (B-1) a guanidine, and (C) a plasticizer, wherein the component (B-1) is contained in an amount of 0.1 part by weight or above and below 8 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the component (A) and a nonphthalate plasticizer accounts for 80 to 100% by weight of the plasticizer (C).
