Abstract:
Provided is a currency processing device (banknote processing device (1)) comprising the following: a body (10) configured so as to perform one or more processes pertaining to currency; and a limiting unit (151) that sets the upper limit for the number of sheets of currency to be processed or the monetary amount to be processed, on the basis of the usage conditions of the device, and that limits the processes performed by the main body (10). The usage conditions include, for example, the intended use of the device, where the device is installed, and the users of the device.
