Description:
A CURTAIN FABRIC WHICH HAS ACOUSTIC FEATURE

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to a textile product that has the property of damping sound waves.

The invention relates to a curtain fabric structure suitable for use as a background, that is compared to alternatives for use as backdrop curtains, provides better absorption of high and low frequency sounds.

PRIOR ART

Sound, which is a type of energy, is present in nature and in every area where people are active. The sounds that existed around us may be undesirable in some environments and situations. This unwanted sounds are called noise by experts. Today, noise has become a major problem that significantly affects human health as psychologically and/or physiologically. It may be necessary to reduce the sounds in undesirable environments or it may become important to control the sounds acoustically in some environments. For example, in all places where sound acoustics are important which it is desired to be able to understand sound well such as concert halls, movie theaters, theatres, multi-purpose performance halls, meeting rooms, offices, conference halls. For this purpose, materials designed to absorb the required amount of sound energy and defined as sound absorbing elements are used. Fabric panels as said materials generally contain rock wool and/or glass wool or acoustic Styrofoam material in the thickness as at least one layer prescribed to provide sound absorption. On the said layer, it contains fabric structuring. The said fabric covering is generally used to provide a decorative image on the solid surface. In the documents with application numbers TR2017/03803 and TR2016/09953 are relates to improvements on above mentioned technical problems. In the state of the art, fabric panels are widely used in sound insulation, especially on wall and ceiling surfaces. Decorative insulation elements are used to provide sound insulation in areas such as glass/windows.

In the document with the publication number TR2014/10090, it is mentioned that a laminated structure textile product with more than one layer, which improves the acoustic properties especially in sound detection devices. Describes invention is suitable for use in products such as microphones, speakers or mobile devices but is not suitable for use in textile applications such as curtain structure as backdrop curtains. It is likely to cause negativities, especially depending on the cost and lifetime. The related textile product is generally designed for use as an acoustic coating material.

In acoustic fabric panels, a fabric which has acoustic properties is covered on a certain thickness of rock wool and/or glass wool or acoustic foam to ensure sound absorption. The fabric covering layer is used to provide aesthetical visuality as well as acoustic properties. Fibrous structures have advantages such as lightness, good formability and aesthetic appearance compared to the commonly used porous acoustic absorbing materials. The use of textile materials (fibrous structures) for sound reduction has advantages such as low production cost and low specific gravity values, apart from its high sound absorption feature.

Raising, which is used as a particularly in textile products, is a mechanical finishing process in which a large number of surface fibers are partially pulled from the yarn structure to create a pile/hairy surface on the fabric. The fibers are drawn in a raising machine by processing with metal wires or rotating rollers covered with wires. The raised fabrics have a softer, thicker, voluminous and hairy surface appearance. It is aimed to dampen the sound with the porous/air-spaced structure that is imparted to the product with the mentioned hairy surface (fleece) in the acoustic fabric products of the known technique. However, these applications do not provide sufficient efficiency in damping high and low frequency sounds and cause the need for improvement in the relevant technical field.

As a result, all abovementioned problems have made it necessary to make an improvement in the relevant technical field. AIM OF THE INVENTION

The present invention aims to eliminate the abovementioned problems and to make a development in the relevant technical field.

The main objective of the invention is to reveal the woven fabric structure with yams in different geometries in order to improve the acoustic properties of the fabric, which has acoustic properties and is subjected to weaving and finishing processes in order to gain the said features.

In this detailed description, the inventive a curtain fabric (F) which has acoustic feature is described by means of examples only for clarifying the subject matter such that no limiting effect is created.

The invention relates to a curtain fabric (F) structure suitable for use as a background, that is compared to alternatives for use as backdrop curtains, provides better absorption of high and low frequency sounds which is provided by improvement in yams used in weaving.

The invention relates a multi-layered curtain fabric (F) that provides damping of low and high frequency sound waves characterized in that and comprises; consisting of at least two layers formed by at least two rows of upper weft threads (10) groups, at least one row of lower weft threads (20), upper warp threads (30) for providing the connection between said upper weft threads (10) and the lower warp threads (40) for providing the connection between said lower weft threads (20), a hollow structure (60) between two successive layers, provide to achieve said hollow structure (60); at least one upper weft thread (10), which passes crosswise between the upper weft threads (10) and the lower warp threads (40), geometric section yam (1) which forms at least one of the said upper weft thread (10), lower weft thread (20), upper warp thread (30) and lower warp thread (40) and increases the amount of space/hollow between the fibrous structure of the fabric (F).

The representative top view of the fabric (F) is given in Figure 1 , and the side view is given in Figure 2. The fabric (F) which is the subject of the invention consists of at least two layers. The yam arrangement for the formation of the aforementioned folds is indicated in the figures, with the upper weft threads (10) in the upper part and the lower weft thread (20) in the lower part. Upper warp threads (30) are positioned between said upper weft threads (10). Similarly, the lower weft threads (20) are woven with the lower warp threads (40). As seen in Figure 2, the relationship between the layers in order to obtain two layers of fabric (F), the upper and lower layers are realized by holding the upper weft threads (10) with the lower warp threads (40). In this way, a spaced structure (60) is formed between the upper floor and the lower floor.

In the preferred embodiment of the invention, there is a pile (50) structure on the upper weft threads (10) and the lower weft threads (20), at least on the upper weft threads (10). In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the pile (50) structure is located on the upper weft threads (10), the lower weft threads (20), the upper warp threads (30) and the lower warp threads (40). the surface area of the yams and thus the fabric (F) is increased and a recessed-protruding structure is obtained on the surface through mentioned pile (50) structure. Sound waves are retained through the said recessed-protruding hairy/pile (50) surface, In Figure 3, a drawing showing the view and detail of a preferred embodiment of the fabric (F) is given. In alternative embodiments of the fabric (F), fabric (F) can be obtained in more than two layers by using the similar yam structure.

As seen in Figure 1 , at least one of the two upper weft threads (10) that are parallel to each other descends to the lower layer and provides the cross connection in the hollow structure. In Figure 3 mentioned structure can be seen more clearly.

The fabric (F) has hollow structure (60) between the upper weft threads (10) and the lower weft threads (20) and the sound waves are dampened in this section.
