The present invention relates to a curtain wall member and a manufacturing method therefor. The curtain wall member comprises: a plurality of U-shaped channel steels (1) arranged side by side, each U-shaped channel steel having opposite inner curls on an opening side; a reinforcing mesh layer (2), the U-shaped channel steel being adjacent to the reinforcing mesh layer, and the opening side of the U-shaped channel steel facing the reinforcing mesh layer; a concrete pouring body (3), wherein the reinforcing mesh layer is poured in concrete, and a cavity of the U-shaped channel steel is filled with the concrete; first material strips (4) fixed on the bottom of the U-shaped channel steel in the direction of the U-shaped channel steel, and the material of the first material strip having a lower heat conductivity coefficient than that of the steel material of the U-shaped channel steel; and thermal insulation materials (5) arranged in receiving spaces defined by the U-shaped channel steel and the first material strips. The curtain wall member can meet the requirements of strength and durability and thermal insulation performance, and can be lightweight.
