Abstract:
A curve driver and a microdevice both provided with an actuator at the fore end part thereof characterized in that the actuator has a conductive polymer layer and an electrolytic layer in contact with the conductive polymer layer and the actuator is bent when a voltage is applied to the conductive polymer layer. Since the actuator bends to generate a strong pressing force on the outside and can be operated easily even in such a state that many obstacles are present, the curve driver and the microdevice can be employed preferably in a catheter or an endoscope.
