Abstract:
In a cutting insert according to a non-limiting aspect of the present disclosure, a first lateral face includes a first region, a second region, and a third region. The first region includes a first upper region inclined outward and a first lower region connected to the first upper region and parallel to a central axis. The second region includes a second upper region inclined inward and a second lower region positioned closer to a lower face than the second upper region and parallel to the central axis. The third region includes: a third upper region inclined outward; a third lower region closer to the lower face than the third upper region, further outward than the third upper region, and parallel to the central axis; and a recessed portion positioned between the third upper region and the third lower region.
