Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a cutting insert provided with an upper surface, a lower surface disposed opposite the upper surface, a peripheral side surface connecting the upper surface and the lower surface, at least one cutting edge formed at an intersecting ridge part between the upper surface and the peripheral side surface, and a mounting hole provided so as to penetrate the upper surface and the lower surface. The lower surface is provided with at least three protrusions protruding in the thickness direction of the cutting insert, and an inclined region extending on the inside of the protrusions. The inclined region extends to the lower-surface-side opening of the mounting hole and is configured so as to incline towards the upper surface side in the thickness direction from the outer side to the inner side of the cutting insert.
