Abstract:

According to the present invention, a cutting edge comprises a corner cutting edge, a flat cutting edge, and a main cutting edge. A rake face includes: a first rake face section continuing from the flat cutting edge; a second rake face section continuing from the main cutting edge; and a third rake face section which continues from the corner cutting edge and which is located between the first rake face section and the second rake face section. The first rake face section has a first tilted face that is tilted at a first angle with respect to a reference plane. The second rake face section has a second tilted face that is tilted at a second angle, greater than the first angle, with respect to the reference plane. In a direction perpendicular to the reference plane, a first end and a second end are higher in height than the reference plane, and the main cutting edge extends so as to intersect with the reference plane when viewed from the direction parallel to the reference plane. The rake face includes a first step portion which rises from the third rake face section and continues to the first rake face section.
