Abstract:
Provided is a cutting machine configured so as to prevent the rocking of a cutting section during the mounting and removal of a battery pack. A cutting machine has: a cutting section provided with a motor, a motor housing which accommodates the motor, an output shaft which is rotated by the rotation of the motor and to which a cutting blade is removably mounted, a battery pack which is the power source for the motor, and a battery pack mounting/removal section which has a pair of rails with which the battery pack removably engages; a base having a contact surface on which a material to be worked can be placed; and a rocking support mechanism which is connected to the base and the cutting section, is provided with a rocking shaft parallel to the output shaft, and supports the cutting section so that the cutting section can rock between the top dead center and the bottom dead center about the rocking shaft in the direction parallel to a side surface of the cutting blade. The pair of rails extends in the direction intersecting the side surface of the cutting blade.
