This cutting machining device comprises a head (5), a holding unit (3), and a control unit. The holding unit (3) includes: a workpiece holding section (32) for holding a workpiece (W); a contact plug (361) that can be brought into contact with a tool (20) fixed to the head (5); a cover (31) that has a box-like shape and has formed therein a first opening (311a) whereby the contact plug (361) is detachably held in a position spaced apart from a fixing part of the workpiece holding section (32) in a peripheral wall; and a touch sensor (61) that detects contact of the tip section of the tool (20) with the contact plug (361). The control unit has a calculation unit that uses the initial position of the head (5) and the contact position of the head (5) when contact of the tip section of the tool (20) with the contact plug (361) is detected using the touch sensor (61) as a basis to calculate a machining start position on the occasion of cutting machining of the workpiece (W) by means of the tool (20).
