Abstract:
According to the present invention, a cutting system comprises a rotating tool, a plurality of sensors attached to a shaft section of the rotating tool, and a management device. The management device determines the status of the rotating tool on the basis of sensor information from the plurality of sensors. The plurality of sensors include at least one acceleration sensor and at least one strain sensor. The management device determines the presence or absence of rotation of the rotating tool on the basis of the sensor information from the at least one acceleration sensor, and determines the presence or absence of contact between the rotating tool and an object to be cut, on the basis of the sensor information from the at least one strain sensor.
