Abstract:
The body (1) of a cutting tool (100) that has tip seats (3) on which cutting inserts (2) are mounted so as to attach and detach freely is configured so that the cutting inserts (2) are stably seated and mounted securely on the tip seats (3) even as a structure for preventing cracking of the tip seat portions that occurs due to stress concentration is adopted. At the intersection of the bottom surface (4) of the tip seat (3) and the wall surface (5), a concave curved surface (7) is provided. When viewed as a cross-section that is perpendicular to the bottom surface (4), the shape of the cross-section of the curved surface (7) comprises an arc with a radius of curvature (R) in the range of 0.5 mm to 1.2 mm. The height (H) from the bottom surface (4) to the junction of the wall surface (5) and the curved surface (7) is set to be in the range of 0.1 mm to 0.8 mm.
