Abstract:
This cutting tool has a base body, a tip, a sensor, and a cover. The base body has a shank section extending in a first direction, a fixing section positioned at one end of the shank section, and a recessed section open in an outer surface of the shank section. The tip is fixed to the fixing section and has a cutting blade. The sensor is positioned inside the recessed section. The cover covers the recessed section. The cutting blade is positioned closer to one side in a second direction than a first region facing a surface on the one side in the second direction perpendicular to the first direction in the outer circumferential surface of the shank section. The entirety of the cover is positioned closer to the other side in the second direction than the cutting blade.
