Abstract:
The present invention realizes an exceptional function pertaining to assessment of the state of a cutting edge (1, 5) of a cutting tool (100A-100D). A cutting tool (100A-100D) comprising a cutting part (10A-10D) that has a cutting edge (1, 5), sensors (21A-21B, 22A-22D) provided to the cutting part, and a communication unit (24) provided to the cutting part, the communication unit transmitting measurement information, which is information pertaining to the results of measurement performed by the sensors, to a processing device (200) provided outside of the cutting tool.
