Abstract:
This cutting tool is rotated about a central axis, and has a tip end in an axial direction along the central axis. The cutting tool comprises: a body; blades; first attachment screws; adjusting pieces; and second attachment screws. The body has an outer peripheral surface. Pockets are formed in the outer peripheral surface, in tip portions on the tip end side. The blades are attached to the body in the pockets by screwing the first attachment screws to the body. Each blade has a blade side surface which faces inward in a radial direction that is perpendicular to the axial direction and that passes through the central axis. An inner wall surface of each pocket has a contacting surface that faces the blade side surface in the radial direction across a gap. The gap between the blade side surface and the contacting surface decreases with increasing distance from the tip end in the axial direction. The adjusting pieces are disposed between the blade side surfaces and the contacting surfaces. The second attachment screws are screwed into the body, and move the adjusting pieces in the axial direction by advancing and retreating in the axial direction.
