Abstract:
A cylinder lock (10) configured having: an outer tube (12); an inner tube capable of rotating relative to the outer tube (12); and a tumbler capable of turning between at least a locked position for preventing the inner tube from rotating relative to the outer tube (12), and an unlocked position for allowing the inner tube to rotate relative to the outer tube (12). After the tumbler has been turned in a predetermined direction by a key (42) of the cylinder lock (10), both turning in the predetermined direction and turning in the direction opposite the predetermined direction are restricted by the key (42). As a result, a cylinder lock is provided in which the tumbler does not turn more than anticipated when the key has been inserted, and the tumbler can be moved accurately and quickly to the unlocked position.
