Abstract:
(1) A cylinder lubricant composition for cross-head diesel engines, which is configured to have a sulfuric acid ash content of from 2.0% by mass to 5.5% by mass, a base number of from 15 mgKOH/g to 45 mgKOH/g, and a self-ignition temperature of 262°C or more. (2) A cylinder lubricant composition for cross-head diesel engines, which contains a lubricant base oil, (B) a Ca sulfonate detergent having a base number of 10 mgKOH/g or more but less than 60 mgKOH/g, (C) a Ca phenate detergent having a base number of from 55 mgKOH/g to 200 mgKOH/g, (D') an amine-based antioxidant and (E') a zinc dithiophosphate, and which has a base number of 15 mgKOH/g or more but less than 120 mgKOH/g.
