Abstract:
The invention provides a cylindrical artificial medium lens-based omnidirectional multi-beam antenna, which is constructed by an artificial medium cylindrical lens, as a carrier, highly integrated with a plurality of antenna units. Said antenna comprises a cylindrical lens 1, antenna unit groups 2 and a metal bottom plate 3, the cylindrical lens 1 being made from an artificial medium material; said multi-beam antenna comprises two same antenna unit groups 2, each antenna unit group 2 comprising a plurality of independent antenna units; the antenna units are fixed on the metal bottom plate 3 to form a whole body, the two antenna unit groups 2 being uniformly arranged into upper and lower lines along the semi-circumference of the cylindrical lens 1, and the upper and lower lines being relatively offset by 180 degrees. Said antenna can achieve 360-degree full coverage in the horizontal plane, and the vertical direction measured map of each beam is 2-3 times wider than the conventional electrically tunable antenna, and an electrical tuning mechanism can be omitted. The "black under tower" situation that easily occurs in the conventional antennas can be effectively avoided, and the cylindrical artificial medium lens-based omnidirectional multi-beam antenna is especially suitable for a service area with a higher density of users and a large data traffic load.
