Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to make it easy to apply pressure to the positive or negative electrode of a cylindrical battery and improve the discharging efficiency (if the battery is a primary battery) or charging/discharging efficiency (if the battery is a secondary battery) of said battery. This battery is provided with the following: a cylindrical battery case (2); and a cylindrical electrode set (3) that is disposed inside the battery case (2) and comprises a positive electrode (31) and a negative electrode (32) with a separator (33) interposed therebetween. The positive electrode (31) or the negative electrode (32) is divided in the circumferential direction into a plurality of electrode pieces (31A, 31B, etc.).
