Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a cylindrical carbon fiber-containing heat insulation material that has excellent heat insulation performance without the generation of wrinkles caused by squeezing or the separation of carbon fiber felt; and a method for producing same. The foregoing purpose can be achieved by a hollow cylindrical fired winding in which fired carbon fiber felt layers of the present invention are layered with helical winding, wherein the layers are bound together due to the presence of a fired organic matter screen layer obtained by firing an organic matter screen having a residual carbon ratio of 5 wt% or higher between the lamination of the fired carbon fiber felt layers.
