Abstract:
A goal of the present invention is to provide a cylindrical member for implantation that is capable of maintaining high patency through the achievement of antithrombotic properties, low swelling, and a low Young's modulus. The present invention provides a cylindrical member, for implantation, comprising a cylindrical base that has an elongation of 5–100%, inclusive, in the major axis direction under a 20 N tensile load, and a block copolymer comprising a polyalkylene glycol block and a polyhydroxyalkanoic acid block. The mass percentage of the polyalkylene glycol with respect to the total mass of the block copolymer is 5–25%, inclusive, and a film comprising the block copolymer has a Young's modulus of 200 MPa or less.
