Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus for supplying a printing press with dampening water being free from a partially uneven concentration but more stabilized in concentration, wherein the concentration of dampening water in a dampening water tank can be changed easily. Water supplied from a water control unit (9) and undiluted solution supplied from an undiluted solution control unit (11) are mixed in a mixing unit (19) and supplied to a dampening water tank (4). A level control unit (18) delivers a signal indicating the replenishment quantity of dampening water to a mixing control unit (12) based on an output from a level sensor (15). Upon receiving a signal indicating the replenishment quantity of dampening water, the mixing control unit controls the water control unit and the undiluted solution control unit to thereby control the quantity of dampening water in the dampening water tank.
