Abstract:
A friction generating mechanism (1) of a damper apparatus includes: a bushing (6) in contact with an annular friction surface (4c) of a spline hub (4); and a cone spring (7) arranged in a compressed state between a retaining plate (5) and the bushing (6). A first load support surface (9) of the bushing (6) and a second load support surface (10) of the retaining plate (5) have step portions (9a, 10a) recessed so as to receive an outer peripheral edge (7b) and an inner peripheral edge (7a), respectively, when the cone spring (7) is in the opposite direction. The radial positions of boundaries (9c, 10c) of the step portions (9a, 10a) are in a relationship of D1>D2, which inhibits the cone spring (7) from being reversed even when an excessive load in the axial direction is input.
