Abstract:
This damper is provided with: a cylinder (30); a piston rod (32) inserted in the cylinder (30) so as to be movable in the axial direction; and a spring member (4) provided on the outer periphery of the piston rod (32) between a piston (31) and a rod guide (33), which approach each other when extended, the spring member (4) being configured so that, when compressed, biases the piston (31) and the rod guide (33) in the direction in which the piston (31) and the rod guide (33) move away from each other. The spring member (4) has a first spring (5), a second spring (6) which is disposed in series with the first spring (5), and a restriction section (7) which restricts the contraction of the first spring (5) before the first spring (5) and the second spring (6) reach a close contact height.
