The present application provides a data audit method and apparatus, which are applied to clipped blockchain data. The method comprises: an audit server generates an audit task comprising an audit task parameter, a preset audit algorithm and an audit range, the preset audit algorithm satisfying a preset anti-parallel operation rule; the audit server issues the audit task to a storage server, so that the storage server generates, according to the audit task, data to be audited and reports same to the audit server; when determining that the operation time of the storage server satisfies a preset condition, the audit server verifies, according to the audit task, a first intermediate result and check data to be reported; and when successfully verified, it is determined that clipped blockchain data within the audit range has not been tampered with. A third-party audit service does not need to be introduced, and information exchange between the audit server and the storage server provides an anti-parallel and offline self-verification data audit method for the clipped blockchain data, guaranteeing the security and credibility of the clipped blockchain data.
